With the Avis „On the Road“ Card you will save money on car rentals worldwide and especially in Switzerland. For rentals in Switzerland, we even waive the costs for additional drivers and special equipment for you. And finally we offer you two free rental days after only ten rental days.

15 to 25 percent off car rentals in Switzerland
With the Avis „On the Road“ Card you will save money on each car rental in Switzerland, for cars as well as utility vans. We offer you 25 percent off daily rates (cars) and utility van rates; 15 percent off week-end and weekly rates (cars). These discounts are also valid for vehicles of the group 4WD and convertibles, the only cars excluded are certain luxury cars within this group.
Worldwide discount
When planning a holiday or a week-end trip abroad, the Avis „On the Road“ Card offers you generous discounts. All you need to do in order to save money is quote your Wizard number (imprinted on the front of your Avis „On the Road“ Card) when making a reservation!
No extra costs for special equipment and additional drivers
For rentals in Switzerland, we waive the costs for special equipment such as ski racks and child seats for you. Additional drivers are also for free for rentals in Switzerland.
10 rental days = 2 free rental days
After only ten rental days in Switzerland, Avis „On the Road“ rewards you with 2 free rental days of a group B or E car (Opel Astra or similar).
Always quote your Avis Wizard number
Your personal Avis Wizard number is imprinted on the Avis „On the Road“ Card. Please do not forget to quote this number when making a reservation in order to make sure that you will benefit from the Avis „On the Road“ special conditions for each rental.

General terms and conditions
- The bonus programme is only intended for customers with residence in Switzerland and is valid for 2 years.
- Participation in the bonus programme is personal, the Avis «On the Road» Card is not transferable.
- Lost membership cards should be reported to an Avis Station or the Avis Card Department (telephone 044 809 18 18). You will receive a new card as soon as possible. Changes of address and personal data must be notified to Avis in writing immediately.
- The Avis «On the Road» Card is to be shown at the time of every rental.
- Avis «On the Road» cardholders will be granted a 25 % discount on daily rental rates as well as on commercial vehicles in Switzerland. In the case of weekly tariffs (cars) and weekend tariffs (cars) the discount is 15%. These discounts also apply to vehicles in the 4x4 and cabriolet categories, with the exception of certain luxury vehicles in these categories.
- Prepayment tariffs, long-term rentals or other special tariffs (e.g. FlexiCar or special company tariffs) are not entitled to discounts.
- All rentals are subject to the rental contract terms and conditions in their currently applicable version.
Reservations
- Reservations can be made directly, easily and quickly on the Internet at www.avis.ch or at the nearest Avis Station (see list of stations). For international reservations, you can also contact the Avis Reservation Centre (telephone 0848 81 18 18).
- When making the reservation, the Avis «On the Road» Wizard Number must always be given. This is important to ensure that the Avis «On the Road» discount is applied and that the rentals are correctly recorded.
- Wherever possible, rental vehicles should be reserved in advance.
- The Avis «On the Road» bonus programme cannot be used in combination with any other promotions or bonus programmes.
Free days
- After every 10th rental day (at the end of the rental) you will receive by post a voucher for 2 free rental days, valid for categories B and E in Switzerland. Please note that free rentals cannot be redeemed during certain periods in the high season (e. g. public and other holidays).
- All rentals in Switzerland on which the Avis «On the Road» discount was given will be taken into account. Foreign rentals cannot be taken into account when calculating the free rental days. FlexiCar, Holiday Special, special company tariffs and other tariffs that carry no discount entitlement will not be taken into account when calculating the free rental days.
- The 2 free rental days include third party liability insurance as well as reduction in liability in the event of damage (CDW) and theft (TP). The excess (damage or theft) can be reduced for an additional charge.
- Additional payments such as vehicle tax, VAT, airport, one-way and winter equipment charge, vehicle upgrade (change to a higher category), fuel, reduction of excess in the event of damage or loss of the vehicle etc. are not included and are billed separately.
- There is no entitlement to a cash payment.
- Partial redemption of vouchers is not permitted.
- Vouchers for free rental days can be cumulated.
- Combination with other promotions or bonus programmes is not permitted.
Data protection
- Avis is entitled to obtain other data relating to your person and use it for particular purposes (including marketing).
- Data storage and data transmission: the applicant authorises Avis to store all details contained in this application and to use them for marketing measures. By his signature and/or use of the card, the cardholder declares himself in agreement with the general terms and conditions.
- You can instruct Avis not to pass on data relating to your person for marketing purposes to companies, that are not associated companies or licensees of the Avis Group, and/or not to send you marketing offers or materials nor to pass on data relating to your person for marketing purposes to associated companies or licensees of the Avis Group. This instruction can be given at the time of your initial registration or in writing at a later date to the following address: Avis Autovermietung AG, Kartenabteilung, Flughofstrasse 61, CH-8152 Glattbrugg.
