Avis Cover
Avis Cover - the right insurance cover for any situation!
As a renter, you are generally liable for any damage to, or loss of the vehicle (e.g. due to parking damage, theft of the vehicle). Avis Basic Cover is included in most of our rates. Your liability is thus reduced to a fixed excess. This excess varies from country to country and depending on the car group. The exact amount is shown during the online booking process or can be asked at our international reservations office on 0848 81 18 07. You’ll find more information about the possibility of waiving the excess in the chapter “Avis Super Cover”.
Avis Super Cover, the smart solution for a hassle-free journey. Avis Super Cover includes the same cover as the Basic Cover. Furthermore, it reduces the excess to CHF 0.-. Avis Super Cover is currently available in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland (the offer being constantly extended) and can be booked together with the vehicle. If you wish, you can conclude a supplementary personal accident insurance at the time of rental. This insurance covers all passengers – including the driver – up to certain amounts in case of disability or death as a consequence of an accident.
