About Avis

Dear Readers,
Avis in Poland was established in 1991.

We started at a time that was conducive to new business ventures and we have been consistently strenghthening our position in subsequent years. Today we can boast an efficient team of dedicated employees and appreciation from our customers.
Sixteen cars and six employees...such were the beginnings of first independent "rent a car" company in Poland. We opened our first car rental offices in Warsaw - at the Okęcie F.Chopin Airport and at the Marriott Hotel - but we quickly found our way to other big cities in Poland too.

Our fleet grew up to 500 cars in no time at all. In 1992, we were the first company in Poland to offer a broad range of leasing services. "We try harder", so in 1994, when we had a fleet of 800 cars and 45 employees, we won the Best License of the year award.
In November 1996 we moved to spacious and comfortable headquarters at Łopuszańska Street. We also extended our offer to include mini leasing, that is, long-term rental.





Our customers can feel safe at all times, because each car undergoes a strict technical checkup before renting. Avis cars are also the most frequently bought used cars in Poland (one can check the car's documentation and history.
In third decade we enter with the fleet of over 1500 cars. We have offices in all the largest cities in Poland and at airports. Among our customers are businessmen, tourist and even...newlyweds and children. For the latter we have comfortable limos equipped and car safety seats. Those who expect full comfort during a trip, can rent a car with a chauffeur.
