Important notes

Payment Options
You can pay for your rental car using an Avis method of payment or any recognized international credit card. We accept American Express, Diners Club, Mastercard, and Visa. Debit and prepaid cards are not accepted.
In order to rent cars from category H, J and P, two credit cards are required.
In order to rent Mercedes, Porsche, and BMW cars from category I, two credit cards are required, as well.
Alternatively one of the following credit cards is sufficient: American Express Gold / Platinum / Centurion, MasterCard Platinum / World Elite / Porsche Card or Visa Platinum / Infinity. Both cards have to be issued in the renters name.
Exception: convertibles

Minimum age
For renting Premium-category vehicles, the minimum age for drivers is between 25 and 30 years.
For drivers below the age of 25, a Young Driver Fee will be charged. The Young Driver Fee is CHF 20.00 per day, up to a maximum of CHF 200.00 per rental.

Entry Regulations
IN ADDITION, entering the following countries or territories is NOT permitted for vehicles in the H, P and J categories as well as vehicles with either BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche brand:
the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Cyprus (unoccupied part), Corsica, England, Estonia, Finland, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Northern Norway, Poland, Sardinia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Northern Sweden.
In addition, driving a BMW, Mercedes, or Porsche car or a category I vehicle into Italy or Southern France (Aix en Provence, Avignon and surroundings, Cannes, Marseille, Montpellier, Nîmes, Nice, Perpignan) is prohibited.
