Out of office service fee (Meet Late Arrival) applies 19:30 - 08:30 (Mon.-Fri.), 19:30 - 09:30 (Sat.-Sun.) 40€ per pick-up/drop-off.
Incase of out of office service is required, costumers have to grant costumer credit card, flight information, contact phone number.
Added Important Information
11% Riga Airport Station Surcharge (Premium Location Fee) applies on total rental charges (minimum 20€) .
Winterzation surcharge from October 15 till May 14 is applied of 4,25€ per day. All car groups are fitted with winter tyres during that period.
Additional Driver Information
Additional driver can be added when picking up the car for 7€ per driver per day (Maximum 10 day chrage).
Only You or an Authorized Driver can drive the Vehicle.
Age Requirements
Minimum renting age for subsequent car groups is applied:
Car Groups B – Minimum age of 19
Car Groups C; D; E; F; H; I; K – Minimum age of 21
Car Groups G; J; L; M; N; O – Minimum age of 25
The minimum of 1 year driving experience to rent a car.
Young driver surcharge will be applied to driver and additional drivers under age of 25 years of 10€ per driver per day (Maximum 10 day charge).
Drivers License and ID Requirements
All drivers must present a valid driving license and issued at least one year ago, as well as a PASSPORT or ID.
International drivers licence required for licenses in non-latin alphabet and for countries that have not joined the convention on road traffic at Vieanna on 8th of November 1968.
International driving licence is required with following countries driving licences:
United States of America
Canada
Japan
China
Australia
Payment Options
Acceptable credit cards American Express, Visa, Master/Eurocard.
Avis Latvia accepts Avis Charge Cards.
Cash prepayments and fixed value vouchers must be supported by an acceptable credit card.
For car group J; L; M; N customer must provide Avis 2 acceptable credit cards.
*With Avis charge card two credit card requirement does not apply.
In case of prepaid rental if you do not collect your vehicle and do not cancel, there is no refund and the full amount of the voucher will be kept as compensation.
Collecting and Returning Your Vehicle
Non agreed return station fee 35,00 EUR if the car returned to a station that was not agreed at check out.
After Hours Information
Extra day`s rental plus Late Return Fee 18,15 EUR if the vehicle was returned late without prior agreement.
Cancellations and No Show Charges
Non-cancellation Fee if customer does not cancel the reservation before the pick-up date/time or does not pick-up the car within 24 hours of agreed time, a non-cancellation fee of 60,50 EUR will be charged.
No Show Fee 35,00 EUR for failed delivery or collection.
Taking Your Vehicle Outside the Country
Cross border rentals out of Baltic states (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) restricted.
Renters who wish to leave Baltic states, please inform us during your reservation process or at counter (avis@avis.lv or call +371 67225876 )
Cross Border charge out of The Baltic States 515,00 EUR is applied for driving out of The Baltic States without the written permission from Avis Latvia.
Meet Late Arrival
Riga Airport office services clients Mon.-Fri. 08:30 - 19:30, Sat.-Sun. 09:30 - 19:30
Out of office (Meet Late Arrival) service fee applies 19:30 - 08:30 (Mon.-Fri.), 19:30 - 09:30 (Sat.-Sun.) 40,00€ per pick-up/drop-off.
Delivery and Collection
Within cities: Riga
Delivery and collection to and from hotels an addresses between 09:00 – 17:00 for charge of 30,00€.
Vehicle delivery to any address please include your telephone number and credit card data in your reservation.

One way rental charges are quoted at the time of reservation.

No cross border rentals out of Baltic States (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia).
No entrance to Belarus, Ukraine, Russia.
Waiver and Protection Options
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
This cover reduces all your financial liability for damage caused to the vehicle (Excluding tyres) from the full value to the value of excess*:
Groups B/C/D/E - 700€
Groups F/H/I/K - 900€
Groups G/J/L/M/N/O - 1200€
Super Collision Damage Waiver reduces the collision damage and theft excess financial responsibility to 0€ in the event of loss or damage to the rental vehicle*.
SCDW includes SCDW and STP (Theft Protection) and reduces excess to 0€*.

Motor Liability Insurance
(Included in all rates)
Motor liability insurance provides coverage up to 1 mil € for property damage and up to 5 mil € personal injuries to third parties and passengers.
PAI
PAI – Personal Accident Insurance covers passengers and some personal belongings. Is available at the counter 10,00€/per day
Theft Protection (TP)
This cover reduces all your financial liability in case of theft of the vehicle from the full value to the value of excess*:
Groups B/C/D/E – 700€
Groups F/H/I/K – 900€
Groups G/J/L/M/N/O – 1200€
Super Theft Protecion reduces the financial liability of the renter to zero*.
*Exceptions of insurance coverage during the car hire:
- Damages to the interior, bottom or compartment of the vehicle, tyres, windows
- Damages caused by snow or ice
- Any illegal actions or operations
- Towing and/or pushing other vehicles
- Races or related training sessions and driving lessons
- Riding off-road and through deep pools, or at places not designed for road transport
- Continuation of usage in the improper technical condition of the vehicle, known in advance to the Lessee
- Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine
In case of an accident/damage which occurs during the rental period, Lessee shall immediately report the accident to the police and/or Lessor.

Fuel charges
All rental cars are given with a full tank of fuel.
In case of returning the vehicle with missing fuel, refuelling is EUR 2,90/per liter + TAX.
Prepayed fuel is optional at Avis counter with regular fuel station prices. With prepaid fuel option (Fuel Up Front) no refund is given for any unused fuel.
Fines
515,00€ Cross Border charge out of The Baltic States is applied for driving out of The Baltic States without the written permission from Avis Latvia.
35,00€ Traffic & parking fine handling fee. While driving in Latvia the drivers must follow the local road and parking rules. In case of traffic violation Ideal Services SIA will receive the request from Police and will provide all the information about the driver.
35,00€ Damage handling fee. Damage handling fee is to be applied per each case of road accident.
100,00€ Cleaning and maintaining fee (for smoking). It is strongly prohibited to smoke in Ideal Services SIA’s vehicles. In case of smoking in the car cleaning and maintaining fee will be charged immediately.
30,00€ For leaving the vehicle in Riga Airport short-term car park P1 (While returning the car to Avis stations please park it in Avis parking lot P4, but not in public parking lots or restricted areas. In case of parking in restricted areas the additional fee is to be applied).
416,00€ For missing car keys or documents. When You return the vehicle please do not forget to give us back vehicle documents or keys, otherwise the renter will be charged missing fee for lost documents or keys.
150,00€ For lost, stolen, or damaged GPS/WiFi. Customer is responsible for all costs in the event of lost, stolen or damaged GPS/WiFi.
250,00€ For lost, stolen, or damaged Child Seat. Customer is responsible for all costs in the event of lost, stolen or damaged Child Seat.
