Additional Drivers
All drivers must meet the same minimum age and driver’s license requirements as the renter. The additional driver fee is 2.00 USD per additional driver per day.

At the time of rental we will request an authorization on your charge card for the following:
- • Groups B, E – 1,000.00 USD.
• All other groups – 1,250.00 USD
Prepayment
Cash Rentals: are not allowed.
Travel Vouchers: Avis and Avis honored vouchers are accepted as payment at the end of the rental only. Renter must present an Avis honored charge card as a guarantee at the time of rental.
Debit Cards
Debit cards are not accepted.
Taking your vehicle outside the Country
Not applicable. Cars are not allowed outside of the country.
Waiver and Protection Options
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is mandatory
Theft Protection (TP) is included in the CDW. Purchase of CDW/TP reduces the financial responsibility in case of damage to the Avis vehicle due to accidents, fire or theft.
In the event of an accident, there is a deductible of 1,000.00 USD and an immobilization fee depending on the model of the vehicle, until it is 100% operational.
If the vehicle is stolen, the renter is responsible for 30% of the value of the vehicle. Accessories (tires, windshield, tail lights, head lights, tools/jacks, hubcaps and radio) and burst tires are not covered. The renter will be responsible for the full cost of the damage if the vehicle is driven in violation of the rental agreement, policies and laws of the country or driven recklessly or driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled drugs. Theft that occurs due to renter negligence (leaving vehicle unlocked) is not covered.
In the event of a rollover, the customer is responsible for the first 2,000.00 USD damage for car group A, B, C, G and I. For car groups F, J, K, L, and N the customer is responsible for the first 3,000.00 USD in damage.
Damage to people and their property
Public Liability covers injury or death to a third party (persons outside the Avis vehicle). Property Damage covers damage to property other than the Avis vehicle and the renter’s, driver’s or passenger’s property.
Public Liability and Property damage is included in the rates as follows:
Public liability and Property Damage – up to 30,000.00 USD is included, upon payment of the deductible of 1,000.00 USD.
Driving License and ID Requirements
A valid driver’s license from the country of residence is required. An international driving license is required and a valid passport is Mandatory. International driving license is a translation only.
Fuel Charges
The vehicle is rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned with a full tank of gas or there will be a charge for refueling. If you have refueled please keep your receipt for verification purposes.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection is available as listed below-
• Santa Cruz – Cochabamba 150.00 USD including tax.
• Santa Cruz – La Paz 200.00 USD including tax.
• Santa Cruz – Yacubia 200.00 USD including tax.
• La Paz – Cochabamba 100.00 USD including tax.
No-Show/Cancellation Policy
Not applicable.
One Way Rentals
Cars can be returned to other Avis locations within Bolivia based on availability.
Special Equipment
Child Safety Seats (CSS): are available on request at a cost of 25.00 USD per rental
Luggage Racks: are available on request at a cost of 8.00 USD per day.
