Additional Driver
The charge for an additional driver is RIO 3.00 per day.
Age
Minimum age is 25 years with cash qualification. In case of an accident and where a claim is made on our insurers, a policy excess of RIO 150.00 is applicable. A person with a valid driving licence above 18 years of age is permitted to drive a vehicle. However, in case of an accident and where a claim is made on our insurers, a policy excess of RIO 300.00 for under-age driver is applicable. Charge cards, Travel vouchers. There is no maximum age limit.
Drivers Licence
Driving licence of country of origin acceptable for up to 90 days. Thereafter, temporary Omani licence must be obtained from traffic authorities.
Rule of the road: drive on the left hand side.

One Way Rentals
Within country: one way rentals are available between Muscat and and Salalah for all car groups with a one way fee of RIO 100.00 (US$ 260.00).
Outside country: one way rentals are allowed between Muscat and UAE only. RIO 100.00 inclusive of UAE.
Dubai - RIO 100.00 per delivery / collection.
Abu Dhabi - RIO 150.00 per delivery / collection
Oman does not permit vehicles to be taken into Saudi Arabia or Yemen.
Surcharges
Cars rented in Muscat and driven to Salalah or vice versa, will be subject to a surcharge of RIO 35.00 (US$ 91.00)
Please note that there is an airport surcharge of RIO 3.00 (US$ 8.00) that will be charged to every rental originating from/ terminating at the airport.
Tax
Not applicable.
