Local currency is EUR (Euro). Local VAT in Finland is 24%. Additional DriverAdditional drivers must follow and agree the same rental agreement as the main driver. Additional driver can be added to the booking for EUR 5/day (inc. VAT) and maximum of EUR 50/month (inc. VAT) per driver in Finland. Age RequirementsThere is no minimum age in Finland, but this varies between countries. Young drivers fee does not apply in Finland but this can be charged depending on the country. Drivers License and ID RequirementsAll drivers must have held a valid driving license for at least one year before the start of the rental. Drivers must bring an international driving licence or an official translation in the language of the country of rental if: - Their driving licence was issued in Europe and you are renting in a country outside Europe - Their driving licence was issued in a non-European country, and you are renting outside that country - Their driving licence was issued in a non-roman alphabet like Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Russian, Hebrew or Japanese (and other similar non-roman alphabet based languages) Pre-Authorisation / Security Deposit You must give us a pre-authorisation on your payment card before we release the vehicle to you. A pre-authorisation holds money in your account. The amount of the pre-authorisation is calculated based on: (a) the estimated vehicle rental price, (b) plus the estimated price of all optional extras you’ve requested, (c) plus an amount to allow for any fuel you may use. If you have selected our Pay Now option, when booking, the sum you have paid will be deducted from the pre-authorisation value. If you’d like more details, please call the Reservations team, or ask a member of our team. Payment OptionsTo approve and confirm the booking, the main driver must present a credit card with the driver's name at the pick-up. Credit card is required even when the reservation has been paid in advance. We accept the following credit cards: - Mastercard - Visa - American Express We do not accept cash, debit cards, Diners cards, Maestro cards, Visa Electron cards or any prepaid credit cards. Collecting and Returning Your VehicleLate Return Unless agreed differently, all customers must return the vehicle and any optional extras at the time/date and location stated on their rental agreement. If the customer believes they will be late, it is in their best interest to request an extension from us. If the customer is then late in returning their vehicle, they must pay for an extra day's rental for the vehicle and any optional extras plus a late return processing fee for each day/part of a day they are late. The processing fee is EUR 18.60 (incl. VAT) or the equivalent amount in the renting country currency. Meet Late ArrivalWe will receive information about delayed flight if you provided us with your flight details. We will keep the car reserved for you and you need not pay extra when arriving late if the location is open. If you arrive outside of the opening hours, the meet late arrival fee is EUR 35 (incl. VAT). After Hours InformationOut of Office Hours - Collection It may be possible to collect the vehicle out of office hours. This must be requested at the time of booking. The charge for this service is EUR 35.00. This service is only available at airport locations and for offline bookings. At the time of booking, please provide us with your flight number and credit card details. If you do not collect the vehicle a "No Show" charge of EUR 65 will apply. Out of Office Hours - Return If the vehicle is returned outside of office hours, the driver is liable for damage or theft until the car has been inspected by a member of Avis staff. You may return the vehicle out of hours if you request this at the time of booking. There is no charge for this service. Cancellations and No Show ChargesPay Now bookings: Up to 48 hours before the day your rental was due to begin, there is no fee for cancellation. We will give you a full refund. Less than 48 hours before the day your rental was due to begin, the fee is the lower of (i) 2 days worth of your booking, or (ii) depending on the country you booked in GBP 60, EUR 65, 76 CHF or the equivalent amount in local currency. Fees are subject taxes where applicable. Or, in the case of Avis Prestige vehicle: The lower of (i) the full amount you paid us, or (ii) depending on the country you booked in EUR 90 or the equivalent amount in local currency. On day of pick-up or if you do not cancel and fail to show-up, there is no refund. We will retain the full amount. Pay at Location bookings: On day of ‘pick-up’ or if you do not cancel and fail to show-up, the fee depending on the country you were due to rent in, is GBP 60, EUR 65 or the equivalent amount in local currency. Fees are subject taxes where applicable Taking Your Vehicle Outside the CountryCheck cross border availability from our Reservation Center and remember to mention the border cross for the Damage and Theft Protections to apply. Border crossing is allowed only to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Border crossing fee is EUR 75 (incl. Tax). Contact our reservation center with your cross border request at least 7 days before departure. Delivery and CollectionDelivery and collection services are available on weekdays between 9 AM and 4 PM within city limits. The cost is EUR 45.00 for delivery and EUR 45.00 for collection. This service is available on request only - please contact the rental location for details. One Way RentalsOne way charges are quoted at the time of reservation. Domestic one way rentals are subject to availability. International one way rentals are not allowed. Waiver and Protection OptionsBasic cover includes Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection. Excess amount depends on the car group. Excess is: A, B, C, L, I and N: EUR 1200 (inc. VAT) D, K, O and P: EUR 1800 (inc. VAT) M. H, F, G and E: EUR 2400 (inc. VAT) J and vans: EUR 4000 (inc. VAT) Supercover is available with following extra prices on top of Basic cover: A, B, C, L, I and N: EUR 15/day (inc. VAT) D, K, O and P: EUR 18/day (inc. VAT) M, F, G, H and E: EUR 21/day (inc. VAT) J and vans: EUR 21/day (inc. VAT) Supercover will be charged for max 10 days per month. Supercover is a Protection package that includes Super Theft Protection waiver and Super Damage Waiver excess reduction products that reduces your excess to EUR 0 for cars and EUR 400 for vans. Supercover Plus is available with following extra prices on top of Basic cover: A, B, C, L, I and N: EUR 19/day (inc. VAT) D, K, O and P: EUR 22/day (inc. VAT) M, F, G, H and E: EUR 25/day (inc. VAT) J and vans: EUR 25/day (inc. VAT) Supercover Plus will be charged for max 10 days per month. Supercover Plus is a Complete Protection package that includes Super Theft Protection waiver and Super Damage Waiver excess reduction products that reduces your excess to EUR 0 for cars and EUR 400 for vans, together with Roadside Assistance Plus. Windscreen cover This covers the windscreen cracks or rock chips. Windscreen cover can be added to your booking when you pick up your vehicle from rental location. Windscreen cover is not included to rentals in Finland. Fuel chargesVehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental. To avoid refuelling charges, please return the car with a full tank of fuel. If the fuel tank is not full, we will fill it up and charge you for the fuel and service. By choosing our Fuel Up Front service at the time of rental, you pay for the tank upfront and when you return, we'll take car of the refuelling for you. Electric Vehicles You get your electric vehicle with at least 70% battery charge and you must return it the same way. If you fail to return the vehicle with at least a 70% battery charge, you will be required to pay a fixed fee dependent on the % battery charge you return the vehicle to us. 70% or more battery charge = 0 11% - 69% = €30 (incl. VAT) 10% or less = €100 (incl. VAT) Special equipmentNavigator (GPS) EUR 15/day (max. charge 10 days/month) Wi-Fi EUR 8/day (max. charge 10 days/month) Road side assistance EUR 5/day (max. charge 10 days/month) Travel partner EUR 9/day (max. charge 10 days/month) Additional driver EUR 5/day (max. charge 10 days/month) Baby and Child seat EUR 45/rental Booster seat EUR 20/rental FinesIn case of speeding or parking fine caused by the renter a handling fee of EUR 49,60 (incl. VAT) per incident will apply. Please note that at Helsinki Downtown office (Kamppi), returning the car outside of office hours may require using chargeable parking. Customer is responsible of the car parking until the office opens again. Always remember to check the applicable parking fees. Miscellaneous InformationSome locations will charge a location surcharge as it costs us more to operate there. The surcharge is included in the fare quoted. |
