Responsibilities
- Plans, directs and controls the preparation and rental of Avis vehicles at one or more rental locations.
- Builds local business together with Regional Sales Manager / Regional Manager by targeting and presenting to local businesses and monitoring competitor activity.
- Maximises revenue through management of company incentive programmes.
- Responsible for all staff within location or locations managed, including responsibility for recruitment and selection, training, scheduling and performance management.
- Assists Regional Manager with budgeting and implements ideas to gain more revenue and control costs.
- Monitors customer satisfaction and continuously seeks to improve levels of service provided.
Qualifications/experience required
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a customer contact position in a competitive service industry.
- Structured management training.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Must be a good communicator and numerate.

- Welcomes and serves customers at rental location, providing highest possible service standards.
- Completes rental check-out / check-in formalities advising customers of all available Avis products, services and rates.
- Responds to rental enquiries by telephone and in person to sell the Avis service to all potential customers.
- Handles customer enquiries and complaints in a professional, sympathetic and effective manner.
Qualifications/experience required
- Previous employment in a customer contact / service industry position.
- Sales background desirable.
- Excellent telephone / customer contact skills.
- Must be a good communicator and numerate.
- Must be aged over 18, with full clean driving licence.

- Some previous experience of working with cars is helpful, but not essential.
- Good customer service skills.
- Able to keep simple written records.
